Lucknow: On the occasion of National Startup Day–2026, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, successfully organised a Startup Capacity Development Programme titled “Market to Money: Sales and Marketing for Startup and Student Entrepreneurs” at the Kalam Incubation Centre, AKTU. The programme was held under the leadership of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. J. P. Pandey, with the objective of strengthening market-oriented skills among startups and aspiring student entrepreneurs.
The event was organised under the guidance of Dr. Anuj Kumar Sharma and Prof. Rajeev Kumar, Directors of the Kalam Incubation Centre, AKTU, Lucknow. Mr. Nitish Gupta, General Manager (Sales and Marketing), Heidelberg Cement India Limited, participated as the chief speaker.

During the session, Gupta delivered an insightful and comprehensive address on key aspects of sales and marketing essential for startups. His deliberations covered market understanding, customer-centric business setup, product sales processes, B2B and B2C marketing strategies, brand positioning, pricing strategies, go-to-market planning, and sustainable revenue model development. He also highlighted the critical role of marketing in transforming innovative ideas into viable and profitable business ventures.
The session proved highly beneficial for student entrepreneurs, offering them conceptual clarity and industry exposure, while providing startup founders with practical insights and a real-time understanding of market dynamics and execution strategies.
